CYBERPOWER WARRANTY TERMS AND CONDITIONS
LIMITED WARRANTY – GUARANTEE
Warranties and claims derived therefrom are governed by the currently valid legal regulations. Additional voluntary benefits and extended warranty commitments are governed by CyberPower, They are non-transferable and limited to the original customer, unless prohibited by applicable law.
The warranty period begins on the date of invoicing by CyberPower or an authorized distributor. CyberPower warrants to the Buyer a standard warranty for a minimum of 24 months (if applicable, longer listed below) from the date of purchase, subject to the below limited warranty conditions that the products are free from defects in design, installation, materials and workmanship.
Warranty services provided by CyberPower do not extend the warranty period or set a new warranty period.
The warranty period for built-in replacement parts or replacement devices ends with the warranty period for the original device.

LIMITED WARRANTY§ 1 General Provisions - Disclaimer of Warranty
This is a limited warranty, subject to the limitations and exclusions set forth herein. The warranty is therefore limited to a technical defect and not to any wear under special heavy use.
CyberPower reserves the right to check the damaged CyberPower UPS, the damaged device, and the location where the damage occurred. The buyer is responsible for the costs, unless otherwise agreed, of shipping for the CyberPower UPS and any damaged device for reviewing at CyberPower.
CyberPower reserves the right that it is impractical to send the damaged device directly to CyberPower. CyberPower determines, at its sole discretion, to provide a repair site for reviewing. Damaged equipment will remain in review until the complaint process is completed.
All warranties contained herein are null and void if: CyberPower cannot review the reported CyberPower UPS, CyberPower determines that the UPS has not been properly installed, changes have been made to the UPS, or CyberPower determines that a damage is not occurrence or normal safety protection may have occurred.
The manufacturer's warranty also terminates if CyberPower detects that the attached device has been connected together in series with other UPS, over-voltage protection, or improper extension cable.
The warranty does not cover damage caused by operating errors, faulty third-party hardware, software installation, incorrect settings, corrupt firmware updates, customer technical intervention, or changes, set-ups, or services not performed by CyberPower Systems.
Likewise, warranty claims are excluded,
- if the sticker with the serial number has been removed from the device,
- if the device has been damaged or destroyed by the influence of force majeure or by environmental factors (moisture, lightning, dust, etc.),
- if the device has been stored or operated under conditions outside the technical specifications,
- if the damage has been caused by improper handling, in particular by non-observance of the system description and the operating instructions,
- if the device has mechanical damage of any kind.
In these cases, as well as in the case of a misleading complaint of the device without a technical defect, CyberPower reserves the right to charge the customer for the expenses incurred.
ATTENTION! DELIVERING NOTIFICATION:
WITHOUT ORIGINAL DELIVERY NOTE / INVOICE NO GUARANTEE CAN BE PERFORMANED!
CyberPower usually handles warranty claims in a Bring In Service procedure.
This means that the defect reported device must be sent to the CyberPower service, transport paid, for repair.
For the returned goods, CyberPower reserves the right to repair and return them at short notice or to deliver an equivalent or higher quality, tested replacement device within a reasonable time to the delivery address specified in the service request within Germany **.
In the case of products includes pre-exchange service (product and model-dependent), a replacement device, usually at the next working day, will be sent to the specified delivery address within Germany ** during the warranty period, after full service registration and, if necessary, technical and objective clarification.
After the arrival of the replacement device, the restart is in the foreground. Only when the fault has been eliminated is the return of the rejected device in the packaging of the replacement device.
The customer must package the device before shipment to CyberPower safe for transport. Transport to CyberPower is at your own risk of the sender. Equipment not properly packed or arrive mechanically defective must be excluded from service. CyberPower reserves the right to charge any costs incurred for the repair or in general for the replacement device to the customer.§ 3 Service Requirements
Prerequisite for the use of the services are telephone or online notification of the warranty claim and receipt of a copy of the proof of purchase or delivery note with serial number and the completed RMA form at the service points of the country.§ 4 Transport Costs
During service, CyberPower Systems will cover shipping costs ** to the customer. As long as no special agreements have been made, the customer pays the transport costs for the transport to the service. If the service fails due to the fault of the customer, the customer bears the costs for a repeated shipping.§ 5 Liability
There is no liability or compensation for damage caused intentionally or through gross negligence.
If transport damage occurs on the transport of CyberPower Systems to the customer, which is externally recognizable, the goods must be accepted with reservation and a notice of transport damage on the proof of delivery. The acceptance can also be denied. In both cases, this must be reported immediately to the transport company and to CyberPower Systems.
Damage that cannot be identified externally must be reported to the transport company and CyberPower Systems in writing immediately after discovery, but no later than three days after delivery.
CyberPower Systems accepts no liability for transport damage that occurs during the initial delivery of CyberPower products by the distributor to dealer or dealer to their customers.
Damage due to improper packaging of the defective device during return transport shall be borne by the customer.§ 6 Contract Period
The warranty period for all products is 2 years unless otherwise stated. It begins on the date of invoicing by CyberPower or the date of purchase of the device indicated on the proof of purchase by an authorized distributor and ends automatically without any explanation from the contracting parties.§ 7 Privacy
For the execution of warranty services, the name, address, telephone, e-mail address, contact persons and device types of the customer are stored and, if necessary, passed on to the sales or service partners used as contract fulfilment.§ 8 Secrecy
Each Party shall keep secret information and documents originating in the other Party and identified as "confidential" or otherwise recognizable as trade secrets, even beyond the term of this Agreement, and not, if not so provided for the purpose of the contract - neither record nor exploit or passed on to third parties. The Parties will impose such obligations on their employees and agents.§ 9 Other Provisions
Claims under this service contract are only available to the immediate buyer and are not assignable.
Changes and additions to this contract must be made in writing to be effective. This also applies to the cancellation of this written form requirement. The obligations under this service agreement exist only within installation locations that are within the countries listed. The place of fulfilment for payments and the place of jurisdiction of the place of business of CyberPower Systems shall be deemed to be agreed for contracts with merchants. If the customer does not have a general place of jurisdiction in Germany or if he transfers his domicile or habitual residence from the area of validity of the Federal Republic of Germany after conclusion of the contract, the place of jurisdiction of CyberPower Systems is the place of jurisdiction. This also applies if the domicile and habitual residence of the customer are not known at the time the complaint is filed. If the provision in this service contract is or becomes invalid, the validity of all other provisions shall not be affected.
DOA is a service offered exclusively to retailers as buyers of CyberPower products through the authorized distribution channel. The beginning is the day of invoicing by the distributor to the specialized trade. A DOA notification must be made no later than 5 days after the date of purchase! A credit note is issued via the distribution partner or, if desired, an exchange for a new device of the same type or for a comparable new device (design changes reserved).
Messages after the period are handled exclusively as a standard service.
